About The Pāḷi Society of India

Dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancient Pāḷi language and Buddhist teachings across India.

Our Founding Vision

The Pali Society of India (PSI) is an academic organization devoted to the promotion and advancement of Pāḷi language, literature and Buddhist studies in India and abroad. It encourages research on the Tipiṭaka, Buddhist philosophy, history, and culture, and regularly organizes conferences, seminars,Webinars and scholarly collaborations. Through these activities, the Society provides a platform for scholars, monks and students to exchange ideas and to promote the study and preservation of the Buddha’s teachings preserved in the Pāḷi Canon.
